I'm a writer living in Australia. I've contributed essays and reviews on cultural topics to The New Yorker online, The NYRB Daily, Meanjin, Orion, n+1, Tin House, Yale Review, Creative Nonfiction and other publications. A book of aphorisms I wrote, ‘Marbles’, came out in 2009 and was listed by John Freeman as one of the 10 best books of that year.
